I've been my own coach for a while. Needed to distrubute the load of hacing to deal with me and my training and school. Now, Laif knows me almost as good as I know myself, and I find it scary, fun and helpful.

The name is a play on 'life', 'ai'(it's here to stay) and 'leif olav alnes'.

How it works

Built on OpenClaw, which is a open-sourced framwork for personal agentic AI I've been tinkering with. It's based around skills and tools for the agent to call — strava for training data, plugga for study and exam load, weather, calendar, and so on. The gbrains part is a memory setup, which with some tweaking worked better for my use case. Standard RAG so he can recall my sessions, exams and life stuff n

Does it work?

Sorta as they say in the states. It's very expensive, so I am using some of the left over tokens from Dalai. It was too complex for sonnet 4.6, so I pivoted to opus for better (and more expensive) quality. It is not scarily good, but as they say on linkedin: this is the worst they will ever be.

It is cool and a steep learning curve, and I just hope not to go bankrupt due to hundreds of cron jobs and heartbeats each using millions of tokens. Take care.
